We recently had the privilege of taking a cruise …from Miami round-trip through the Southern Caribbean. Our bar server on the Pool Deck was simply a fantastic man. Not only did he always keep an eye on our drinks, he took the time to get to know us. He was very excited about his home (St. Lucia) and told us many great things to do while on the island. One thing in particular that stands out is his ability to remember all the orders we placed and the particular drinks my wife and I enjoy without being pushy or impersonal. Thanks to all the hard working crew who took the time to say hello, from the painters to the kitchen staff. And thank you to NCL for making this one of the most memorable trips my wife and I have ever taken.

My wife, parents and I had the opportunity to sail on board the Norwegian Pearl in June 08. I am writing for a couple of reasons, but first and foremost because of the outstanding service. You must understand my mother suffers from moderately advanced Alzheimer’s disease so travel is difficult. She had the opportunity to sail to Europe in the late 1940’s after finishing nursing school and always reminisced about the glamour and service aboard ship. During our cruise, I could see some of the sparkle back in her eyes. Thank you!

On July 4th we boarded Norwegian Jewel for a 12-day cruise on the Baltic Sea. The purpose of this letter is to let you know about the wonderful people we met that put everything in motion to make our stay wonderful enough that, less than 2 months later, we decided to board Norwegian Jewel for a Transatlantic cruise, because of the great staff on board…. We chose it because we knew that we would be treated with the best possible care and with the sense of friendship that every other cruise line claims to have!

My family and I have just returned from a cruise on the Norwegian Majesty and absolutely had a blast! I have never in my life notified any corporate office about exceptional staff members, but (my stateroom steward) really stood out and should be noteworthy for special considerations. Personally, his cheerfulness changed my outlook on life.

In May 2008, we cruised from Seattle to Alaska. In weighing the overall cruise experience, I’ve come to realize that it matters not what I thought of the menu or the service at the bars. It matters not that the stateroom was not quite as large as I thought it would be. What matters most was that your staff and crew went above and beyond in making a guest feel welcome – a guest considered rather insignificant by most – a guest who would be easy to ignore.

Please convey to the staff & crew on Norwegian Pearl my heartfelt thanks for all they did for my son and for me. Our memories of this cruise will be joyful because of them and their compassion.
